Can you tell that the dv has gone bad by just removing it and taking a look? I'm a newb, and i've seen you guys talking about the n75 valve, but still am not clear on what it exactly does. I read that you only have to worry upgradingor having the stock n75 valve fail when you have a bt. Is it fairly easy to check whether this had failed or not?

Papachristou - I have actually been feeling that problem, and I'm pretty sure I've seen my needle do the jump back up a few times. Guess I'll try getting a new n75.

dont rule out the wastegate actuator, my car was boosting at 2 psi and i thought my turbo was shot, then 1 day im getting onto a long bridge in town and smashed the throttle to try and get some speed and all of a sudden the boost gauge jumped to 9 psi and has never gone bad again. I should also say it worked right after i did the complete seafoam treatment, dont know if thats what fixed it? maybe it was dirty and stuck? who knows.

As for the ones who will ask how seafoam got in the turbo, i fed it in through the vac so fast that it made it out through the exhaust ports and into the turbo, thats how it cleaned my wastegate. lucky accident.
