Chipping a new Audi A4 - warranty issues
Hey guys,
A friend of mine is debating between the new bmw 3, is350, and a4. I recommended him to get the new 2006 A4 1.8T quattro and put a chip and an exhaust in it cuz I heard that is sufficient power for a daily ride (close to 250+ hp).
His concern is if he chips it, his warranty will expire. I know they have chips that can revert back to factory settings when you take it to the stealer.....what do you guys with audis under warranties do?
thanks for the feedback in advance.

It's highly unlikely. Contact APR, GIAC, and REVO, and they will tell you all the info you need as far as their own different methods for hiding it from the dealer.
The chip comapnies are really good at hiding the chips now days its just a program that goes in there and the dealers unless it gets sent back the germany and some really really smart people de-code the encryption they will never know
