My '03 A4 makes a clicking sound when I step on the clutch (when my foot is almost all the way down on the clutch). This started happening this past weekend, 3 weeks since I purchased the car new. Switching gears was very smooth until this started. Since I've had a couple of other stickshifts, I'd like to think that it's not the way I handle the car. </P>


Is there a switch that I don't know of? I don't think it's linked to the cruise control. What could it be? </P>


Please help.</P>

 

You have a clutch switch, This might be the noise you are hearing, BUT,, if you are having a shifting issue, thats something different.

The dealer told me I need new bushings. Not a big problem, just an annoyance. They'll take care of everything including a loaner for the day and a car wash. I guess I can't complain.</P>
