Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums and i have a question. I have a question, well its about that time and i need to get a new clutch. for my 2001 A4 1.8TQ i was wondering which clutch do you guys prefer? the spec h1, sachs, or the good old oem clutch? or what other clutches can i get. I am currently stock but i will be gettin the apr chip soon.


Also does anyone recomend the snub mount from apr? does it really help and how?

how many miles on your car is the clutch slipping 2001 your clutch should be fine still I have a 2000 with 140,000 km on it its fine

 

I replaced mine recently and put in a South Bend DXD/Unorthodox racing cluch in my 2000 A4. I've been very pleased with it. Here's a link so you can check it out.

Yah I recomend a snub mount it keeps the engine from rocking back and forth under aceleration... it made a huge difference for me after I chipped my stock mount turned to ****

The dxd clutch costs a lil to much.

Is it easy to install the snub mount my self?

how many A4's have you seen without AC unless you have removed it yourself i think they all have AC don't they

 

hey doose, how does the engagement feel? how much did you pay to have it s=installed? i payed $600 to have a flywheel and clutch assmbly installed.
