Default clutch help

Ok heres the deal. I bought a 99 a4 quattro last year and it had a brand new clutch installed on it. I have driven the car possibly 2000 miles since then as I didnt get the car on the road until october.

Here are the symptoms.
Second gear is the hardest. When I go from a cold start and drive it feels like its grinding when I try to put it into second gear. Its easy to pull out but hard to push into.

third gear is not as bad. but a little sticky at times.

When it starts to warm up it gets a little better but its not smooth.

Any suggestions?....I have a year warranty on the clutch but I'm not sure if it is the clutch. If i decide to take it back to the clutch place I have to drive over 300 miles to get it there...so i would like to take care of it here.
