Actually, it is easier to unbolt the lower rear control arm when taking out the axles, rather than the uppers. The pinch bolt up top is a PITA and is probably seized up anyway. My car needed a 14mm allen head (1/2" drive) to remove the axle. Then once the axle was out of the hub, I just drove that bolt all the way back in and itpopped the outer part of the CV joint off the axle. Remember to clean everythinggood.Take out the six ***** by tilting thecage up all around, then remove the cage and "star", then remove the "star" fromthe cage and clean em allup good with paper towels. Make sure the outer boot clamps fitfirst before it's late and the stores are closed. Myboot kitscame with oet 92 clamps, and Ineeded oet 95 clamps...I gotsomeCv boot clamps atNAPA that worked out instead.
