Default clutch question

my clutch is on its way out, it only slips under wot in 4th and 5th gear when boost kicks in. 1st,2nd and 3rd has no slips yet, would i be good to last the winter with it driving like a pansy and replace it in the spring? or would i be better off getting it replaced asap?
and whats chatter? i hear if you get too light of a flywheel you get chatter. what is chatter?

With your clutch going out, I'd get it taken care of sooner rather than later. You never know when it's going to reach a point where it won't hold the engine's torque, and at that point you're going to be stranded. I'd rather not get stranded in winter weather. For the same reasons, if you're going to do it yourself, better to do it now before the weather goes to hell, instead of hoping you'll make it through, only to have the clutch fail in January and have to spend the time outside in the snow changing it out. Do it now, or soon, depending on your finances. Something like that isn't worth waiting for - typically it'll fail at the worst possible time.

dude my clutch has been slipping for about a year now. at first it would only slip in 4th and 5th at WOT like yours and now any time i go WOT it will slip. the only way not to get it to slip is start at WOT in first gear and keep it at WOT. it still sometimes slips even when doing that tho. im getting a new one in a week lol

so will you be able to drive with the clutch like that? absolutely. you will be able to for a while. if you drive normally, aka no WOT, the clutch will probly last longer than a year. BUT the more your clutch slips the more you'll damage the flywheel (or so i've heard) so if your gona replace the flywheel anyways than you got nothing to worry about. if you dont want to replace the flywheel dont go WOT a lot, but the clutch will definitely last for a while

Exactly. Thats the main reason to get it done now.
