Compare your A4 to....

I hope you know that Saab is not a British car. Try Swedish instead.

My past includes an appreciation of British sports cars and I did put about 200,000 miles in total on several 900 turbo 3- door, 5-speed Saabs, and found that to be a really great car.

If kids might be in the future, then an A4 might be tight in the rear seats for you. With my height, we can only fit the rear facing seat behind the side not occupied by me. (and I'm not one to put the seat back very far at all) Then again, I guess kids probably aren't in the cards given that you were looking at a TT?
Have you driven all of the cars you're considering?

Youre going to get biased comments for the A4, because you posted this in the A4 section............
Other than that, A6's are nice, too bubly for me. The TT is blind spot city (vert or hard top)and thewindshield is a joke. I always feel so confined and restricted when driving them. They do look nice and areunique though... To me, the A4 is the best of both.

I think he means the styling on the car looks too bubbly. The roofline and the rear end looked kinda bulb-ish for a while. I don't think the newest one looks it at all though.
I'll admit that I've never owned a Volvo, but have driven a few...some for days or a couple of weeks on end. Road and Track did a head to head comparo of the A4 and S40. Here's the link
