well if you're concerned about it, just go buy a new one. There was a new one on ebay a few days ago.

See above regarding cracks in the reservoir.

Go buy a new one.

I dont think it is cracked at all. It's coming out of the spout that is built into the overflow. So buying a new one is pointless.
