He has the faster car.... He has the quicker accelerating car..... He has more horsepower.... He has better grip off the line.... And while His car weighs a little more.... it's inconsequential given the first two points...

I would suggest you're going to need an awful lot of mods to get in the running..... You're talking about getting an A4 that does 8.8 secs 0-60 in the hands of a good driver to something better than 5.2 secs..... If this truly is your mission I see a lot of $$$ changing hands..... I'd suggest you
re going to need the better part of 300+ HP....

Well some of those points are true with the stock 2.8 but if i supercharge it you are wrong, I will have more horsepower, and i will have better grip off the line (RWD vs AWD) so therefore we don't know if the porsche will be faster and who will accelerate faster

aslo i dont no where you got the 8.8? from what ive seen is that the 2.8 quattro's get just over 7 seconds... i may be wrong but i, pretty sure its not 8.8. and correction about the porsche its 5.4 i found a good reliable source for that 0-60

so in conlcusion he will have 247hp and i will have about 300 hp, i will be faster off the line due to awd and the porsche spins the tires a little, so the reason i started this thread is because i think it will be a good race.

 

ya u have AWD vs. his RWD but i dont know about porsche's but audi's really aren't known for their low end power(tho the supercharger will help with that), and trying to take a porsche at higher speeds aint a good idea. I'd get intake and a custom exhaust to go with the supercharger and then i think u'll be good.

 

i still think it might be a challenge to beat a lighter car with 250hp even if he gets the supercharger.

 

the 2.8 A4 weighs 3384 lbs and the 911 weighs 3031, so its about 350lbs difference, idk if that changes anyones mind or anything

 

my point exactly. i had a 97 GT mustang with a paxton, and i barely had 300rwhp i dont think even a supercharger for the 2.8 will do much to beat the porsche.

 

ya but that 250 is at the crank not the wheels, so if you wana compare crank values then with the supercharger intake and exhaust he should have somewhere around 325HP compared to 247 HP of the Porsche. Granted the quatrro loses more power to the wheels its not by much. so were looking at anywhere from 50-75 HP greater in the audi and only 350lb weight difference. i think it could be done. and if he barely beats you add some lightweight pulleys and give it another go.

i used to own a 90 mustang GT 5.7 with a paxton and that thing would rape every porsche that tried to step up at the line
