anyone know how much a gas cap would go for? I failed inspection beacuse it did not pressurize. The Audi deal near me, has been closed for 3 days straight, not sure why. also my climate control is out, it works just does not light up, what lights should i look to get? i know these are i guess "noob" questions.

 

The CC display is a common problem, you can pull it out and hope it's the bulbs. VW or Audi will have them for >$3 each, it has 4. Auto stores should also, but I can almost guarantee you if you tell them it's for an Audi they'll send you out the door. Bring the bulb in and don't tell them what car it's for. Take one out, go to the store with it and find something that's similar.

Go to Autozone or something for the gas cap, unless you really want a VW/Audi Cap. Check ebay, check your local auto stores, any of them should have something acceptable.

 

a guy i know, who is a mechanic, said not to get a gas cap from autozone, he said he has done that 1000 times and it will just be a reoccuring problem. otherwise id do it.

 

yeah, does anyone know how to get the light bulb out of the climate control unit? I can get the unit out, but dont know how to go abouts replacing the bulb?

 

If I were you, I would spend the 10-17 bucks at auto zone for a gas cap. If it works, great. If it doesn't, no big deal....... just a thought...
