Default A couple of questions (B6)

My first post - nice forum this.I recently bought a 2004 A4 2L B6 and have a couple of questions. I tried to search but could not find exactly what I was looking for.

What is the "normal" fuel consumption for the 2L? So far on three fill-ups I have done around 10L/100km. Most of my driving is done in town (stop go traffic) with probably around 15% freeway per tank. I don't really have a heavy right foot....

How do I get to the instrument cluster to remove some dust that is stuck in there?

This is in europe i assume? Is this a diesel engine?
You can't separate the cluster to clean dust inside the cluster, if you wanna take out the cluster any way, pull out the trim under the cluster, there should be two screws on the bottom of the cluster holding it in.

South Africa. 2L petrol (96kw)

Ah bugger. So I will have to live with the dust in there.

We don't have a 2L engine here in the states on the B6 but i would assume you should get 20-22 mpg (do conversion to liters)
What i would try to do with the cluster is take it out and try to use some compressed air to blow the dust out of it.
