Default Dashboard Credit Card Tray Removal - 2002 A4

Does anyone know how to safely remove the credit card tray (between ESP and Hazard buttons) in a 2002 A4?

Thank you!

This pic shows removing the cupholder but the coin tray is the exact same process. Unlocking the lock tabs may require the radio removal keys, in the top illustration. You may be able to get away with some household item to unlock the tabs but I wouldn't know. I'm not sure how much they cost but they're just dinky little pieces of metal so it can't be much. Just ask for part # T10057. don't worry about the other tool shown, you won't need it.
