Delivery issue = dilemma
Well my new Avant finally arrived at the dealership after getting off the boat in the wrong time zone. Walking up to it was amazing. Feeling completely right by waiting for the exact car I wanted. Final inspection ended with my stomach in my throat. I found several minor dents in roof and hood (hail damage???).
The dealer is trying to solve issue by;
1. Paintless Dent Removal. They worked most of yesterday and are supposedly back at it today.
2. Trying to find me another S-Line Avant in Monza
My question is does anybody have idea on long term strength of repair? Meaning is it possibly I can see some paint issues down the road where repaired?
Second, assuming they repair to looking as good as new, what is appropriate to negotiate. I am not sure if they will just sell if new to someone who doesn't know about damage? I assume Audi America has to take some responsibility as damage was not done at dealership.
Finally, why doesn't Audi ship in closed trucks or with more protection on surface.
Thanks
