destroyed AWD system
i can tell you this, i used to work at an audi dealer (how i got good deals) and when the b6 s4 came out SEVERAL of them were in the shop with trans problems. It was either it couldn't go into reverse or for some reason it always popped out of 2nd gear. Dont ask me why cause i have no F-ing idea but I can tell you I saw at least 10 b6 S4's come in the dealer because of this problem. And yah, the owners were pissed especially that the car was brand new at the time.

mike didnt break his 2.8 trans, he swapped the 1.8 back in for higher trap speeds
and as far as i've heard the only bullit proof trans is the b6 s4 6 speed..but there are only a few running it

if the A4 you are referring to is Mike Hoods, then i hope you know he recently broke his 2.8(suppossidly the strongest B5 transmission).. and many, many stage 3 B5 S4 owners(400-450Awhp) have destroyed transmission and many axles..
transmissions: $500-3000 + installation
axles: couple hundred and a pretty easy install

Next run I tried to launch a little harder with a little more rpm but it seems the front diff had enough and let go. So I put the car back on the trailer and headed back to gregs house.
