Unhappy Do stock B5 fog/driving light housings work with OEM HIDs?

Hello peeps,
can anybody tell me if I can install HIDs, using my hella gen3 D2S system, in my stock H7 fog/driving light housings?
I know I'd need H7>D2S adapters so the bulb fits the H7 socket but I don't know if I'd need a HID compatible housing (is there such thing?).
I'm afraid of melting my housing or damaging anything really.
I also don't wanna blind other drivers or have the flicker that I see on those ridiculous ricers.
I have 4 of the hella gen3 w/built-in ignitors so I'm gonna do my headlights for sure with 4500k or 6000k but I just want to do it right the first time to avoid looking like I cheaped out.
The ballasts are OEM and about $500 a piece from the dealer and I found them on several other sites ranging from $150-399 so if I can't do the fogs I'll add another thread with the for sale ad.
Sorry for the long post.. It's gettin late and the beer is catching up! Lol
please help guys! I know somebody has the answers.
Thanks!!!!

I've seen people put HID kits in their fog lights but you gotta make sure it's the 35w kit. From what I've heard / read, if you use the 55w kit it could melt the inside of your housing.
