yea, i was using a sheepskin applicator, i think its just cuz the dried wax cakes up on the pad and causes thses marks

At the shop we are to lazy to use anything else then electric...

will one of those car washes that are basically high pressure water spraying at your car take off the wax you have on ? ... and about how often should you wax a car ... i live in wisconsin so i think in the winter i'll want to do it reguarly to keep off the salt ... let me know thanks ....
