Does chip affect MPG?
oh heres another question real quick
is it just me or sometimes when i turn on my carlike the next day and the gas level is lower...like a good 15-20 miles lower on the display than it was the day before?
is that a leak or something else?

My gas gauge is pretty spuratic(sp?)too. It will be like down at a half tank when I first start my car, then a couple miles later it will be like halfway between half and 3/4. It is a bit strange, but the gas light always comes on a the right time so that is all that matters.
When it comes to mileage:
1.8T > 2.8/3.0
manual > tiptronic
chipped > stock, unless you take advantage of what the chip is for
FWD > quattro
proper maintenance (regular oil changes, fuel/air filters, plugs, and CORRECTLY INFLATED TIRES) go a long way
Conservative driving > WOT launches
highway cruising > stop-and-go driving
If you have a big injector mod, the computer will show higher than actual mileage/range.
That's called reserve capacity, so you don't run it all the way to empty and end up stuck on the side of the road somewhere.

yeah mine does too i guess...but when i go and fill her up itll say like 10 mi left, then i end up having 2 gallons still in the tank...wtf is that?
