Does manual get irritating?
Its a sport car, manual is the way to go if you want to fully experiece the driving pleasure of an audi.
If you sit in traffic for hours a day, everyday, then maybe an auto is for you.
Otherwise, you'd be cutting yourself short to by an auto. The auto also wont handle power upgrades as well either, if you plan on doing any modding down the road.

I was a little discouraged with my Audi too when I first got it, and it was also my first stick. But now after four weeks I love it! I could never drive this thing in an Auto, it would just be boring IMO. I love just being able to keep the car in third if I want to so I have instant power when I get on it, no waiting for a laggy auto to decide which gear I should be in for me. I don’t have a commute so I don’t drive in traffic everyday, I wanted my Audi to be a car that I enjoy driving every time I get in it, and so far it has done just that!
Yes and No. Its worth having if you like felling the car and everything it dose. Its worth having to save a tad on gas and its worth having to be able to cram more power under the hood. It is the worth thing know to man kind if you are in traffic alot. I live in Las Vegas and every time family comes to town its a night mare they want to do the drive down the strip first and all that fun stuff. Thats 3 miles of will my foot fall off already...
Its more of your choice. This is my secound manual car and dont want to go back to a Auto anytime soon. The minor irritating things do add up but when it come's down to it. As someone said 3rd gear 4k rpm and nail the gas ohhhhhh yaaaaaa there nothing like an instant head meets head rest before foot meets floor thing "Not true yet". I have friends that love to ride with me becuase I always give them a nice jurk never when there expecting it.

id go manual. i hate driving fun cars that are automatics.
and honistly, my leg feels better in a manual because in an automatic, u have to hold teh brake when ever u are sitting at a stop
and also have ADHD so it gives me something to do!

I've had both tip and manuel.... the tip wasreally a blast.... you can be in what ever gear you want when you want and i love how you can down shift before going into a hard turd with only the touch of a button(while keeping your foot planted on the dead pedal for ultra stability)but i only bought it because i have a very fast civic at home too that is a manuel.... i always have to have a manuel car.... it's a passion i guess.... there's nothing like building a close relationship with the machine world.... man and machine making one...hehe... but serioulsy i am always trying to better/improve my smooth/presice driving stylewith the stick.... it's a passion for sure... and i'm in love [sm=drlove.gif]...... if you are not the biggest fan of the stick shift.... you will for sure have a blast with the tiptronic.... just get the tip chip..... unless your getting the new A3 s-line... i believe they shift quite fast from the factory... good luck!!!!!!!!!
