I noticed you said it buggers up your right leg - I'm assuming since you're in the UK you have right-hand drive; so does RHD reverse the pedals as well or was that a typo? Just curious, I always thought the pedals were the same.

And by the bye; it's no contest - you should get a manual. You'll have more fun driving, you'll have better performance, better control over said performance, better gas mileage (when not over-exerting said control over said performance), and your friends who drive automatics will be jealous.

dont listen to many of these guys they are very biased and will call you a ***** for getting a auto, but really if you only need the performance values once in a while get the auto, i drive a stick and i love it but honestly it does get annoying sometimes. espacially if you are new to the stick and really dont need it dont get ot.

oh my goodness i will never drive automatic.... i have nothin against them but i feel that if you get any type of sporty car it better be a manual... its way more exciting, and even in heavy traffic its easy and no pain at all... plus the ladies love it, its any easy way to bond with them... lol, just grab there hand and have them shift gears, its in the bag

manual over auto my whole life... until im rich enough to get 2 cars and one will be an automatic 300c/escalade/something sick on 24's.

I like manual period. Even with city driving. The traffic doesn't bother me none and I'm rollling in a 87 'stang.

Automatic just bored me. It's just...bleh. Only reason I'd get an auto is if it was for an SUV or truck. I like my cars manual.
