yeah it shouldve downshifted... as far as up shifting i havent seen mine do that itll stay in first untill i shift myself

i just recently bought my 2.7T and from a stop it will automatically shift from 1st to 2nd at 2000 rpm in tiptronic mode... the place i bought the car just told me that model is supposed to do that to protect the engine... Does anyone elses 2.7T do this? Does anyone know wat causes the problem?

my tip will shift automaticaly way up in the rpm(7200 i think), and it downshifts automaticaly if ur going to slow for the gear. i would say that the trans needs a flush and new filter.
