Door 3 button Remote Control
Shoulda programed it yourself, takes a couple minutes and saved the 35 bucks. I asked my dealer to cut one of the "uncut keys" from ebay, he refused. So if anyone is considering buying one of these, check your dealer in advance.

if you have the correct tools (a dremel and the right bit) you can even mill/cut the key yourself as long as you have anothet key to go by. A friend of mine did it and it worked out ok.

Door 3 button Remote Control
Hey guys/gals

If anyone in Canada has a remote for sale I will by it, well assuming you sell it cheaper then the dealer. Let me know cause I definitely need one. Using the key lock is a pain the *** especially in the cold weather. Ya I know I'm being picky, but a nice car like an audi doesn't look good when I have to put the key in the hole to open the door. Anyways, please let me know. I don;t want to buy it on ebay cause first off the canadian ebay doesn't cell it and the only way I can get one is off the American ebay. I rather get it privately from someone in canada, or someone where I don;t have to pay all the shipping duty charges. Thanks guys.

You're probably going to have to be more specific about which remote you are after. The A4 has had at least 4 key fobs style's since 1996. If you have a 96, you can only use the 96 remote, asthe central locking systemwas updated in 97.

-1996 remote

-1997+ remote

-Switchblade (lock, unlock, panic)

-Switchblade (lock, unlock, trunk, panic)

Anyone know if i left something out?

RE: Door 3 button Remote Control
How did you get a key on ebay to work for your car? Don't you need a dealer to cut it with your car's code? Will they cut a key you bring to them? Im in the process of trying to get a spare key now, and it's going to cost me $180 at the dealer. I'd really like to find a way around this if possible...
