heres a tread tread i copied from my recent post

Lol^^^^

Bigger rotors = increased sprung weight and rotating inertia =worse handling car with sloppy suspension reaction and SLOWER stopping ability. The increased friction surface doesn't offset the decreases in performance all the way around. best you can do is put on stainless steel lines (biggest increase and cheapest cost) then crossdrilled SAME SIZE rotors with more powerful calipers.

that person is an idiot.

How so? Is there a better deal on it, or a better way that you know of to get the extra rotor size and the carriers to fit? I'm also going to be doing this, and for the money it seems damn good, but I'm always listening if there's a less-expensive way to get the same product. please share!

To Manufan: I think the point of saying "ookay..." was just that. The only thing in the post was two pics - no comments about ease of install, customer service, speed of shipping, perceived improvement in braking, bang-for-the-buck, or any of the other things that most would expect to see in a post such as this.

Being a TT owner, the stock diam of the brakes is plenty for people with stock to mild upgrades on a A4. If you plan on high 300whp, you may want to consider larger rotors and 4 piston calipers.

I considered the various alternatives. I wasn't prepared to pop for larger wheels so I needed a set that would fit my stock wheels.Going to a wrecking yard and getting the carriers crossed my mind, but the ecs ones come plated so I went with them.
