Engine/RPM issue.
Anyone experienced this issue?
1997 a4 1.8t Quattro, 5 speed.
Check engine light is on.
Engine Idles slightly below normal level when the car is on. When moving into first gear the Engine will cut off unless the RPM's are reved above 2500/3000 and moving into the higher gears results in the same engine cut off and jerk if the RPM's are not kept above 2500.
Through the night leading up to this issue the battery completely drained and the gas level was fairly low but the car was running as smooth as could be the night before.
Haven't had it scanned yet and am not sure If I should drive the car or have the car towed if it doesn't clear up.
