Default RE: Exhaust Question

the exhaust system i make is 2.75" thats the best size for the 1.8T cause on the dyno it produced .5hp and 1.2 ft lbs of torque more than the 2.5" did. but 2.75" pipe is rare and expensive thats why my system is so expensive. $900 if you want to buy it or $600 if you become a test subject

The guy from around here told me thebest thing i could do is buy a remus exhaust and then have Lous Custom custom make me a cat back. He said hed give me the remus muffler for $300 is this a good deal?
remus exhaust is nice. 300 is not to bad. lou's is decent shop little expensive but nice. i have a dual bullit muffler 3" cat back from them cost me about 450. sooner or later i will be going back to swap out my 2 cats for one big hi flow one. they want about $500 a little to expensive right now

So...2.75 pipe adds an extra 0.5 horsepower and is expensive compared to 2.5 inch which is easier to find and is less expensive. Sounds like 2.75 is not the way to go.
