That a crock of BS man, i dont know who told you that but what they were probably saying was that It doesnt help as much as if it were with a k04, but it is by NO mean going to hurt anything at all.... I run one with my k03 and it pulls harder and longer, doesnt get heat soak at all and runs very well

a fmic is not good for our cars with the stock k03... i dont know why but it screws things up... the side mount is actually very efficient

Im sure if you make a opening behind the IC in the wheel liner will raise effeciency tons. Granted you could get a s4 liner but Id rather do it for free and get more flow. A fmic on such a small inefficient turbo wont do good because the turbodoesnt flow enough cfms to make a fmic pressure drop worth it. Not only will you increase turbo lag incredibly but the pressure drop from the ic will kill your power.

I can testify that that is hardly true, the drop I saw was less than .5psi and it pulls so much harder it’s not even funny, yes in THEORY it will hurt but in actuality it does nothing but help

well my experience with ineffecient small turbos and fmic is limited. But all I have heard is that its onlt for the bling factor. I guess it depends on the core and end tanks you get that match the turbo.

Yea lots of people told me it was going to suffer performance wise but i had to replace mine anyway so i figured id upgrade so i had it for when i do go bt and like i said even with the apple sized k03 the gain is very noticable

ah. one more thing too.

okay... somehwere along the line. my car started making this loud and obnoxious squeaking noise everytime i went over a bump or turned the wheel. i thought it was my suspension or some ****. but i took it to a shop. and they said they werent exactly sure. but they think i may have bent the control arm... and its rubbing against something. they did nothinga bout that. but they lubercated my bearings or some ****.. sound was a lot quieter. then it came back. and now.. i cant even stand it its so loud. i cant flex at all or it just sounds like ****. someone actually said they had a similar sound on their prelude. and they had to lubercate something dealin wiht the clutch. any ideas
If the noise is only going around turns then it more than likely is a CV Axle. Could be a wheel bearing too.

I had the same problem on my 01 celica gt-s, I thought it was the control arm bushing as well. I took it to the dealership and they couldnt find out what was wrong with it. A couple of weeks later I got the car on a lift myself and had a closer look. It turns out i had 3 bolts on my motor mounts that had gotten loose and fallen out. With about $2.50 I got the replacement bolts and fixed it myself.
