can i change/tap off the fluids on my 98 a4 myself, transmission, oil, brake fluid, power steering, and if so what types do i use, di i have to get them for the dealer?


i use synthetic oil, can i run it to 5000 miles, or should i maintain 3000 miles everytime?

 

The transmission is sealed, no you cant top it off.

Brake is normal dot 4

Power steering can ONLY be topped of with a pentosin 11s fluid, usually only bought at dealer or online.

Synthetic oil doesnt really need to be changed every 3k miles, unless you beat the car to death. Some people prefer not to change synthetic for 10k miles, but I change mine every 5k.
