Default FMIC?

do you need an aftermarket bumper to fit a front mount intercooler or to make substantial gains? just out of curiosity, thinking down the line... like next summer, when the car officially becomes mine..

most likely you will unless you plan on cutting up the stock one to make it fit

I was about to post on this one to, wanting to know about this also. I would rather not have to buy a new bumper or do a lot of modifications to the stock one. I havent been able to find anything that will work yet.

There is cutting involved. I'll look for a tech article on this.

actualy they do say minor triming is requiered and it cost over 1K and its pretty small compared to some....but if your not keen on major bumper butchering and dont mind spendin the money its probly a good choice

Supposedly the s4 bumper on the a4 will allow alot of FMIC to fit without much CHOPPING, if there needed to be any removing of excess material to make the FMIC fit with the S4 bumper, id say TRIMING. Wouldn't be to much.
