Default FMIC

Does it matter if I install a fmic and everything is still stock. I plan on upgrading the turbo or getting it chiped someday but not anytime soon. By the way if anyone is wondering why I want to install one. First off becasue they look great and second I am going to have to take my front end apart soon to replace timing belt and bumper so I figure might as well install at a fmic while I have all of that off.

if anything the order should go chip->k04->pc16/j31->FMIC

though colder air is better air..

shouldn't FMIC come before the pc16/j31 file?

if you drive your car hard, i would recommend the FMIC because you will not have to deal with heat soak and you will be ready for larger upgrades down the line.

Yeah no turbo upgrade or chip yet. I have only had the car for a couple of months and really can't make those upgrades yet because I can already hear the wife bitching at me... Like I said before I wanted the install the fmic because I am going to have the front end off, so I figured it would be a good time to do it. Just wanted to make sure it wouden't heart anything. By the way BadLuckAudi what brand fmic is it? how much? and do you have the piping....

a chip and DV combined are cheaper than a FMIC. Get the front mount after your at least chipped.
