Oil catch can catch the oil which goes back to the intake.

Fuel in engine should nothing to do with it, I think.

People in AZ say it could be compression rings. Ones I get it that close to the block, it'd be better to rebuild the whole thing.

onepoint8tee; do you have compression test stuff ? I wanna do compression test see what's up.
Nope I dont have tools for that. I know a guy who will do it for cheap or maybe even free at a shop though.

I thought when you run an oil catch can, it eliminates the pcv valve?
You don't have to run a pcv valve with an oil catch can, but i would still use some type of pcv valve on any engine.
As for the compression rings being bad i really doubt it, un-less your getting close to 200k on the clock and im sure you use synthetic so it should be cool.

I just finished compression test

I did 2 tests. Second test results are in the parantesis.
I think the reason first numbers are lower because I was little nervous to crack it.

The front one thats at 159 (i assume psi) is a little low, re-check that one and make sure thats what it is.

Ok, i just looked it up for your engine.
New engines 10-13 bar = 147-191psi
Wear limit 7 bar or 102 psi, so your engine is still bordering compression of a new engine, so the rings are out.
