that's the problem with being a mechanic your waiting for something to go wrong I call it a curse ( the more you know the guarantee it will cost mega ) simply because your looking for problems instead of enjoying the drive

Sorry to keep bringing this back to the top, but I think my engine is about to die---- I just got 33.9 mpg on my last tank of fuel. I think if I would have tried I could have made it to 470 miles.

Damn! I seriously think something might be wrong with my car if what your saying is true. I'm getting about 300 miles to my tank and i'm never really taking off or hitting the high RPM'S. Then again i'm doing mostly city driving, are you doing mostly highway???

Well, that does make me feel a little better. I did have to use a different pump (same filling station), I wonder if the backpressure switch in the pump shut it off early? But my gas gauge was still reading 1/4 tank so I doubt that was the problem. Guess I should just enjoy the savings and keep rubbing it my families face (who all shunned me because I bought a "luxury" car- said it wouldn'tbe good on gas- HA!)

And yes, I do quite a bit of highway driving.I use my Jeep for around town and short trips cause my milage is bad in that no matter where I drive it.

Just K&N, no mid muffler, all fluids replaced with Red Line (except the power steering,) tire pressure at 40psi with no junk in the car, and I shift at about 2500rpm. I'm in 5th gear when I'm going 35, and I drive smooth and steady.
