Default Getting to the last Question

Hey all, first, I'd like to thank everyone for putting up with my weird questions... all your help is invaluable. So the last question I have before I finish this damn car stereo is this.... Does anyone know what the wattage and ohmage of the TWEET ONLY in the front doors of the NON BOSE stereo system? It's a 96 and it has the delta head unit, 2 back speakers, 2 front lower door speakers and 2 tweets in the front doors. I'm trying to do something crazy and I need to know the info before I start.... thanks a million! PF

Hmm I know the door speakers are 4 ohm iirc, but never heard what the tweeters were. Guess you will have to pull them out and see if it's labeled on the magnet?

In a multiway speaker system (e.g. woofer and tweeter or woofer, midrange, and tweeter), the impedances of all units should be comparable, so 4 ohms is probably a good guess for the tweeter. You cannot simply ring out the voice coil with an ohm meter, because the dc resistance is generally alot lower than the effective ac impedance, which is the number you need.
