Just bought an 04 A4 1.8T and the remote is pretty beat up. Only have one key/remote as well. Just wondering if its expensive to get another key/remote. Also is it possible to just get a remote and switch keys and who can actually cut a new key. I dont know much about Audis yet so its a learning process sorry everyone for the noobish manner.

 

It should cost about $200 or less from the dealer. There are 3rd party sellers for the keys. Just search on "key fob". There are some locksmiths that can cut the key and program it.

I know at least for a B5 A4 you need two keys in order to self program. Otherwise you need a capable locksmith or dealer.
