For the pinging, when was your TB changed last? One of my friends audi's started pinging right before it went out.

The throttle body? I don't know that it's ever been changed. I bought the car 3 months ago.

are you timing from when you step on the gas or from when your car starts moving. Most 0-60 times are from the exact time the car starts moving to the exact time it hits 60 mph. The tiptronic has a delay from when you step on the gas to when the car starts moving. Take a video of your speedometer moving from 0-60 and look at the timetable to get your 0-60 time.

Oil's fine. Just had that done not too long ago.

I'm wondering if the pinging has something to do with it. I just don't know what...

Does the pinging noise get louder or faster if you accelerate? Or is it consistant no matter what? Can you tell where it's coming from?

The pinging just sounds like it's coming from the engine - you know, under the front of the car (at least that's where i hear it - it's probably echoing off of the ground).

And it only does it when i floor it, and it hits the higher RPMs.
