I am going to change the transmission fluid on my B6 A4 (already ordered the tool). However reading the forums I have seen that GL5 is bad for our manual transmissions. All the fluid I find at the local auto stores is GL4/5, which I guess is just as bad as only GL5 fluid (any help with this, thanks)? So I found AMSOil makes a GL4 only fluid for the transmission and wondered if this is good transmission fluid?

ITs seems ok but I haven't come across any that have tried it yet. But redline D4 is tested and true, Mobil 1 ATF is what I have ....10,000 miles no iusses and shifts smoother then the day I drove it off the lot. All three are syn ATF where the OEM isn't. Plus the OEM ATF right on the bottle clearly states..3 year self life?? Hmm...but VWOA states lifetime[:@]

 

Amsoil is good stuff man. My dad and i have been using it since i can remember. Check it out. It's expensive but worth it i think.
