Default This is gonna be a long weekend

Well i started planning out my weekend of fixing. I knew i had a boost leak last week so i pressure tested it and found that I actually had 4 leaks!!, I have all fixed except for 2, one of which is very large.

I have a coolant leak, which needs to be fixed asap. A new clamp should do it

I have another crack in my exhaust manifold bringing the grand total to 5. I'm going to weld it, and begin designing my tubular manifold next week. Should see some good gains with that.

Ever since i changed my fuel pump in january i have been getting wiffs of gasoline, so I looked everywhere with no luck. I have also been getting the evap system leak since then so i knew there was a leak somewhere. Today i ripped apart my trunk and found that the gasket around the gas tank cap, not the filler cap is leak gas fumes into the car!! This is also why I was having issues holding fuel pressure after shutting off the car. I will get a new gasket and put it in this weekend.

Finally, my upper passenger control arm feels and sounds like its about to break my wheel off so that needs to be fixed last week. The thing is the pinch bolt is stuck. I tried everything from impact wrench to air hammer with no luck whatsoever. I may have to take my car to the dealership and I am very very nervous. Hopefully they dont mess anything up.

Anyways this is my rant, I will post again after the weekend... hopefully with success!!

Haha yeah, seems busy. All in one weekend? Damn I wish I could find that kind of time heh. Taking it to the dealership? You should be in for a treat on that one haha. They might not know what to do with those mods, or they might drool and take it for a test drive [:@]

Hahaha yea, and hints before going to the dealer? I really dont want to do this and i think I'm just gonna wait there the whole time so I know there is no monkey business going on.

If I were you I'd try and avoid the dealership until you have to be dragged there kicking and screaming. [sm=headbang.gif]

If you absolutely must take it to the dealership, stay there so they don't pull anything like WOT'ing it down the highway on joyrides. Haha, I'm sure I'd be tempted to do it, don't put it past them!

Also, try and ask if you could maybe spectate, using some BS excuse that you want to make sure they don't "damage your delicate setup" or something that you might pull out of your rear, so you might be able to catch how they fix it so if it happens again you won't have to go through hell and back with pesky dealers.

Yea good call. I have no choice, I know the pinch bolt is going to snap because it was just starting to twist with a 4 ft breaker bar, and i dont know how i would get it out if it snapped. The dealership is the last most scary place i would ever want my car to be, but that spectating is a great idea, I will ask around to a couple different places till i find one that will let me watch!
