good deal on timing belt kit?
using the search feature (pay attention here if you're new), I came across a thread which listed dozens of parts suppliers for audi cars. I checked out a few of the links, and came across what I think is a pretty good deal on a timing belt kit for AEB 1.8T's. the place is called AutohausAZ, I assume that's in arizona somewhere. their price on a "timing kit" which includes the belt, tensioner, and tensioner roller, is USD $148.50.
is this a bargain? I noticed on other sites they mention that an idler roller is also required, the price on that at autohaus is $27.58, bringing the total for the kit to $176.08. they also offer free shipping to the continental 48 on orders over fifty bucks, which is nice.
here's the link to the page with the timing kit, and here's the page that shows the idler roller. I need to do the timing belt job on my car soon, so I'm looking around for the best deal (I'm going to do it myself) on the parts required. if you know of a better deal than this, please let me know!

you should do your waterpump while you are in there too, look at kits that include them (like purems, blauparts, etc.) also consider doing your other belts, thermostat, snub mount, N75, 710N,at the same time.
dont forget if you do your waterpump, you will need proper G12+ coolant. also, you need to know if youplan to put it into service position or you are going to take the radiator off - if you take the radiator off you will need coolant anyways. if you plan to put it into service position, make sure you have the proper rods to hang the radiator (i use bumper bolts but I take no responsibility if you bend yours, check out dieselgeek TB kits for ideas.)
do you even have a bentley manual? tech write-ups are ok, but not all of them have proper torques.
