So after a fe days shy of a MONTH, I got my car back from the dealer. Everything fixed. The down: i got spoiled by the '07 rental, the up, my '03 looks way better than the B7 body style...i'm happy[8D]

I did a post on it a month ago that I had jst picked up this CPO 2003 A$ and the immobilizor went out. Well it took almost a freaking montht to get it ordered from Germany and get installed...but it's done and finally get to enjoy my car. but like i said i got spoiled by the B7's 200 horses, so the next thing is a chip sometimes down the line...

 

Was it an immobilizer ring or the immobilizer ecu that they replaced?

 

its the "ring" that is part of the ignition lock cylinder. its the thing that receives the signal from your key when you insert it and lets the car know that you are ok to start. the service advisor said ring. part # SPO 107 905 855 CF from my invoice and it was $163.20, but it has to be manufactured by AUDI in Germany to your VIN # thats the bummer. it also says FAIL CODE: 1580 on the invoice, anyone know what that is?
