Headlight Cleaning

RE: Headlight Cleaning
I'm not positive but you might be able to find small clips that hold the lens onto the housing, if you do be carfull not to lose them and also very carfull not to break anything, you may have to reseal the housing afterwards with a silicon based cauck. other than that, without pics, I can't really tell you what to do.

thanks, il post some pics tom..... i talked to a guy who does it for other cars, he told me he tried it on an a4 like mine and the problem was when he used a heat gun to open it, it(silicone) didnt react like most cars and it did not seem to want to open with the heat, unlike most other cars he has done including other european cars.
he told me he is willing to try it in my car but I don't have the guts to have him experiment then find out he can't put it back together.

Don't start screwing with that. They are sealed with high temp silicone. If you use a heatgun you could end up melting the housing. I have a buddy that put his IS300's headlights into the oven in order to get the glue to come off.
I'd just take your bubs out and rinse the housings out.
