so, if i turn it to HI all the way, it heats up for like a few seconds then slowly cools down. a/c is off. whould could this be? a flap or the valve or?

okey as before like I said, rev the car high like 4000 RPM hold it for like 15 sec or less and see.

 

I'm assuming the temp gauge is in the middle, has the thermostat been replaced? I've had stuff like this on other cars before, i have an infared therometer that i can tell wat the temp is goint to the heater core and coming from the heater core. You can also use this to tell what the temp is to and from the thermostat. A shop should be able to do this easily and cheaply.

 

hey, coo, i'll check the heater core lines and rev up the car to 4k to see if it warms up. haven't done maintainance yet (just order thermo, tbelt and all) as i just purchased the car. needle stays right in the middle, never goes over half.

weird cuz it works at first for a few seconds then it gets colder and colder.
