Will an APR Stage 1+ chipped ECU that was taken out of a 2003 A4 1.8t 5-spd quattro work in my 2004 A4 1.8t 5-spd front wheel drive? The only differences in my car and the one that the ECU came from are that mine is a 2004 and FWD and his is a 2003 and is QUATTRO. In know you can re-program your ECU for FWD using Vag-com.

I believe it will work, but you will need to change the drivetrain on the ecu to fwd....

the drivetrain on the ecu is already quattro. mine is fwd and i want to install it in mine.

 

Yeah you just need to switch it around. i have no idea how though. Try searching for it.

wouldnt he have to reprogram the keys and stuff too?
