do what i do, use a nail clipper with the knife thingy. i was too cheap to buy the key and used this method instead. the differece between the key and this is with this i can jiggle it till i can pull the radio out. wroks everytime and the longest it ever took me was 5 minutes because i was having the same problem as you.

thanks for the post cstarky15, i didt find that thread when searching.
I tried a nail cliper too, didnt work, turns out the hooks were bent out, not allowing the key to clip into it, heres what i did:
i took it to a good auto stereo shop, and the installer fabricated a key out ofsome sheet metal with a very narrow point to one side, not to the middle, with it he "fished" for the little hook in the clip and pulled it in. (to the center of the HU) once the hu was out you could see the clips were bent way out,, and they have another metal hook that i bent in with a flathead to put it back in place, now i can pull the hu with the keys with no effort.

thanks for the help guys.

BTW i intalled an ipod interface from axxes, its ok, but imho the icelink is way better in many ways

Don't get too rough on it. I destroyed an old VW radio when it was stuck... it eventually came out with the "use more force" method.
