Default Help: Keys don't work properly.

Hello everyone,

I have a 1996 Audi A4 V6 Quattor. Recentlly it did not act properly, and I am not sure what the problem is. I express the symptoms as follows:

The Key is difficult to insert and pull out, and turn difficulty. The turning lights don't flash after igniting, but they work well before igniting. The outside turning lights and their correlated interside indicator lights work and stop working simutaneously. The CD stop working, and display "SAFE" in the srceen.

I never meet these problems before. Seems it should be problems of computer codes. Are there anyone know how to fix these problems? And how much will it cost to fix these problems?

Thank you very much.

Wow, that was really hard to understand. First, scan your car for codes to see if anything is screwy, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes. Your radio is already in safe mode so you're going to need the radio code to reset that anyway.

Wow, ya. Seems I have to have the code scaned. Is the dealer the only place I can have it scaned? Not sure how much will they charge me.

Thanks a lot.

Nah, take it to Autozone or something and they do it free
