hey all hope all is going well with everyone.. anyways..
my 98 a4 2.8 is making some crappy noise that is super annoying.. sounds like a rattling metal on metal kinda of thing...
its coming from the back of the car.. it happens over bumps and little nics in the road.. i found out that when i apply the brakes it goes away.. i know this is a big factor of what it could be.. any help would be awesome.. thanks peepz

 

Take the rear brake pads off, your gonna find the little butterfly clip broken off one or more of your brake pads.

 

Push down at each rear corner, as testing shocks, and listen.
