There is a recall but it's already been done to my car and the nearest dealership is 2 1/2 hours away so if I got it towed it wouldnt be worth it. I bought an ignition switch for 70 and I'm gonna get it installed for free. So I'lllet everyone know if it fixed the problem. My car was also running kind of wierd right before the ignition switch went out. Hopefully it'll be fixed.

Ok we replaced the ignition switch, key is going back in forth great but it's still not starting. Remember the car wouldn't restart when I pushed in the clutch while going 40 and turned it off.

Did you check power to the starter yet? Maybe you got a crappy *** ignition switch. [:'(]

Looks like the ignition switch took out my starter. Both are replaced and it's running good. The mechanic also discovered my control arm was right about to fall apart so I got that replaced too. I'm having trouble getting my fuse box cover back on though. It won't stay in. I just kinda hangs there. Any suggestions? thanks

Are you talking about teh fuse box cover on the driver's side? That bolts in with two screws.
Glad you got the staring issue fixed though. [8D]

I pulled it off without un-bolting anything. Where it's just a cover I'm not sure how I would screw it in?

I don't know what to tell ya man, there should be two screws holding it in, its not like its needed though. You can try to bolt it in with something you have laying around the garage?

I have a 97 and it snaps back into place......per the little metal clips on the back.....They may have broken off when you pulled it. If they are there make sure they are lined up with holes when you snap it back in.
