I noticed lately that if I really gun the car in sport it will move well until around 70-80mp in third gear. It feels like the gas is letting up. It will be smooth then fall and rise, fall and rise. Is this boost leak? The dealership supposedly fixed a vaccuum leak not too long ago.

 

so your saying your in 3rd and you redline and the car accerlates and then slows down and then accelrates again and keeps doing it?

 

Nah its not even that close to redline ill have to do it on my way home and tell you what the range is

 

what your saying sort of sounds like a speed governor.

 

Fault codes please

 

No fault codes are present, at least I assume so since no lights are on, i can scan it if i need to. Speed governor ok, but since when do they govern acceleration?

 

Codes can be stored without a check engine light, always start diagnosis with the DTC's.
Then we will move on to a visual inspection, followed by step by step electrical/mechanical diag.
