Most people do nothing with the highbeams, with HIDs you wont need them anyway. You could get a HID conversion for the fogs too, lltek.com has them.

Ok, I broke down and got the k6000 kit from vvme. When it comes, I will post a review and pics of the k6000 next to my calibrated k5600 Joker Bugs (this is HMI lighting used for cinema production. It is even more pure white than electronic flash). Has anyone asked this company for a spectral power distribution graph or CRI rating (color rendering index)???
I love HMI lights! I am going to Brooks Institute of Photography and just got to start playing with them. We used a 1.2K HMI which is balanced right around 5500K color temp.

Anyways, I have the VVME 6000K lights and love them. I have had them for a while now (about 4 months) and never once had a problem. Install was simple and quick and the lights look great! Here is a picture:

The off-brand items will work but may die sooner, have poor performance and/or not be DOT legal.
HIDs installed outside of the factory aren't DOT approved no matter what name is printed on the components.

Thanks, no i didn't do anything for the fogs. Maybe eventually but I kind of like the way it looks.

They do look good........Have you thought about removing the amber in the headlight housing? Maybe some S-Yo silver color turn signal bulbs too. Ill do some really sweet slow shutter shots on a tripod when mine come.
