Hey how it going fellow Audi enthusists. im new to the site and i tried to do some research on this subject but came up with nothing.
I have a 2002 Audi A4 and it came stock with projector headlamps and halogen bulbs. What i was wondering is if you can just buy the hid balasts and buld and install them in my stock housings or will i have to buy the Hid housing in order for the hid bulbs to fit and work properly.

There are kits that you can get w/ ballasts and bulbs that will fit in the stock housings. Try lltek.com they have kits. They are a little expensive, but they are worth it.

 

I had the same set-up. You have to buy an H7 kit. I bought the Helios 7000k H7 kit.

PS- 7000k gives off a nice pruplish/blue color, does not look aftermarket unless you're next to another car with an OEM set-up.
