hids intsall
ok guys im not questioning if i can do it cause its to easy but supposely when i was at my local car meet like 2 months ago this kid that had an s4 said if u put the bulb in a weird way it instantly burns out and another said somethin bout the ballast....so my question is wats the deal how can u actually f*** up the installation
well i do know dont touch the bulbs but is there anyway u can mount the ballast upside down cause the bulbs basically only go in one way and should i get 4300k or 6000k cause im orderin them from vvme on tuesday from a vendor who will charge me only 70$ cause i showed him there site so he can get them for his buisness to sell
I am interested in getting some too but do u buy a straight looking housing first and throw some hid bulbs in them? My friend said he ended up paying around 1200 to do his vw but the parts were from a vw in europe made with the equipment...
You can install them in any Audi headlight housing that you have (or in some of the aftermarket ones too). Used to be, I'd see many vendors selling D2S bulbs (for projector housings) and D2R bulbs (for reflector housings, like the pre-facelift A4s). Nowadays, they're all selling just the D2S bulbs. That's fine, because the D2S will work fine in a reflector housing or a projector (I have D2S in my pre-facelift low beams and they're great). You could order HIDs first, and upgrade your headlights themselves later on - as long as the new lights are meant to hold an H7 bulb, you should be fine (unless you order some of those cheaper halo lights from eBay - some of 'em say that they're not intended for HID use, but Valeos and Ecodes are fine for it).
