Homelink - No Garage
When I was talking to the dealer during the test drive of my current car, he was telling me the Homelink built into the sunvisor is used to open garage doors. I told him that I thought it was a great feature, but that I didn't have a garage. He then told me that you could buyRadio Shack or X-10 devicesthat are compatible with theAudiHomelink System. Apparently you can you plug lights and/or appliances into these devices and when you come home, click your Homelink button and turn your lights or TV on from your Audi.
I have not purchased any such devices at this point, but was curious if anyone has heard of this?
If you have heard of this, do you use such devices and find them useful?
If you do use them, what does your Audi turn on besides lights or television?

I work at radioshack (for now...5 years is enough...getting ready to make clutches and torque converters)and I have some of those control modules at home. If you can find out the frequency that the homelink transmits on I can check my modules and find out if the homelink falls within the frequency range of the control modules. Programming it would be another story entirely however. Let me know if I can help.
